Description
Molly Distinct Consult is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical And Health Education Teacher to join our educational institution. As Physical and Health Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students at the IGCSE and WAEC level, ensuring their understanding and mastery of physical and health education concepts. You will create a stimulating learning environment, promote physical fitness, and encourage a positive attitude towards personal well-being and healthy lifestyle choices.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver effective lesson plans and instructional materials for IGCSE Physical and Health Education, aligning with the curriculum requirements and educational standards.
- Classroom Management: Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that promotes active participation and engages students in physical activities and discussions related to health education.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments, tests, and projects to evaluate students' understanding, progress, and performance. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
- Individualized Instruction: Identify the unique needs and abilities of students and adapt teaching strategies, materials, and activities accordingly to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Student Support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students, promoting their physical well-being, personal development, and self-esteem.
- Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to enhance the Physical and Health Education curriculum, exchange best practices, and contribute to the overall development of the department and institution.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest developments in Physical and Health Education, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions, and implementing innovative teaching methodologies.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as sports teams, fitness clubs, and health awareness campaigns to encourage students' participation and reinforce the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on students' progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Classroom Environment: Create a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning, student interaction, and the use of appropriate equipment and resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or license in Physical and Health Education.
- Experience teaching IGCSE Physical and Health Education or similar curriculum is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IGCSE Physical and Health Education curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.
- Proficient in integrating technology and multimedia resources into teaching practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
- Passionate about promoting physical fitness, health education, and overall well-being among students.
