Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the IGCSE Mathematics curriculum, ensuring appropriate coverage of key topics and concepts.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and materials to engage students in active learning and promote critical thinking skills.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, collaboration, and student participation.

- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Analyze assessment data to identify individual student strengths and weaknesses, and develop appropriate interventions or enrichment activities to support their learning.
- Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for improving student outcomes. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate this information effectively to students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
- Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment that fosters students' confidence, self-esteem, and passion for mathematics.
- Stay abreast of developments in mathematics education, including new teaching methods, resources, and technology, and incorporate them into instructional practices when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or qualification in Mathematics or Education.
- Experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics or familiarity with the IGCSE curriculum is highly desirable
- A strong command of the subject matter and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Proficiency in using technology tools and software for instructional purposes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to promoting student success.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset to embrace new teaching methodologies and approaches.
