Molly Distinct Consult is looking for a creative, flexible Visual Arts Teacher to join this successful school in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Responsibilities
- -Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, school administration, and community members.
- -Develop and maintain teaching materials, lesson plans, and schedules.
- -Implement educational policies and procedures related to the use of technology, school discipline, and students’ health and welfare
- -Design and implement educational enrichment activities to promote student skill development
- -Continue professional development by securing appropriate in-service training, workshops, and meetings
- -Coordinate student activities and social events for and with students
- -Effectively utilize technology to improve students’ educational experience
- -Provide written and oral feedback on students’ progress
- - Develop and implement teaching pedagogies that align to curriculum, school standards, and state/national standards
- -Collaborate with school administration and staff to share best practices, address curriculum needs, and solve issues
- -Model use of new and emerging instructional technologies
Qualifications
- -B.Ed/B.Sc Plus PGDE in art or related field
- 5+ years working in an arts-related field
- -Knowledge of art history, graphic design, and visual art principles
- -Knowledge of classroom management and instruction techniques
- -Strong written and verbal skills
- -Knowledge of industry standard software
